At the end of this workshop, you’ll be more confident in your ability to help stakeholders understand the design you recommend. Articulating Design Decisions will equip you to communicate with stakeholders, keep your sanity, and still deliver the best user experience.
Tom Greever, Ux and Design Consultant
The old waterfall approach (and its scrum-friendly variants) to design and development is dead. The new way is a collaborative, continuous cycle of concepting, delivering, learning, and iterating. In this workshop Jeff Gothelf will show you how to use product discovery practices to build a stronger collaboration with product development teams.
Jeff Gothelf, Organizational designer at Neo and Author of Lean UX
This workshop will get you started with the essentials of web animation. We’ll cover the basics of motion design theory as it applies to the web, and how to use animation to improve the user experience. In addition to the theory, we’ll use hands-on exercises to explore the similarities and differences of animating with CSS, JavaScript, and SVG. You’ll leave knowing how to bring your work to life with skill and which web animation tool to use to get it done.
Val Head, Senior Design Advocate at Adobe
In this workshop we will live an entire cycle of lean innovation and we will do it using the LEGO® SERIOUS® PLAY®, the methodology developed by Robert Rasmussen and Per Kristiansen to successfully face the main challenges.

As long as we’ve been using the internet, and way before that, we have been authenticating through some sort of username and password combination. It has become the standard. With the ever increasing number of web-apps, we’re seeing more and more data breaches as well. What if we could build our authentication processes in a way the user doesn’t need a password?
Sam Bellen, Developer Evangelist at Auth0
In this dynamic session, Val will show you how to build animated interactions with inclusivity in mind from the start. We’ll discuss how to apply web accessibility guidelines to modern web animation, when and how to implement reduced motion, and approaches to building up animated interactions for a solid standards base.
